The first couple times trying it out, I suggest putting your baby/toddler in the sling over a bed or a sofa until you feel more secure with the positioning and placement in the sling. Number one most important rule of slings: Head must be UPRIGHT (no back-lying or side-lying newborns AT ALL for risk of suffocation), and their head must be close enough to kiss!
